Crowned the first-ever winner of Ireland’s Next Top Chef in 2023, Gareth is known for his creative and bold cooking style. He gained recognition for his work at Cú, a standout restaurant on Belfast’s Lisburn Road.
Gareth’s culinary path also includes time at the prestigious 2-Michelin-star Dinner by Heston in London, and the 1-Michelin-star Anair in Galway, owned by the inspirational head chef and author JP McMahon.
The experience in London, with its focus on innovation and pushing boundaries, sparked Gareth’s passion for trying new things and experimenting with flavors. At Anair, he was inspired by the beauty of using local, seasonal ingredients and respecting the traditions of Irish food.
